Your privacy matters to us. Rolodex does not sell your data, does not show you ads, and does not use your information for advertising targeting. This policy explains clearly what we collect, why, and how you can control it.

1. Introduction

Rolodex ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") is a personal relationship manager for mobile devices, published by Pyro LLC. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information about you when you use the Rolodex mobile application and any related services.

By creating an account or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, information generated by your use of the App, and limited information from third-party services you connect.

2.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name and email address (provided directly or via Google OAuth), authentication credentials managed by Clerk, and profile photo (if provided via your Google account). We do not store your Google account password.

2.2 Contact Data

For each contact you add, we may store: name, phone number(s), email address(es), social profile links, notes and free-text fields, contact photos, tags and categories, relationship strength indicators, and custom fields you define. This data is entered by you and belongs to you.

2.3 Interaction Records

When you log an interaction, we store: interaction type, date and time, summary and notes, and sentiment rating (if provided).

2.4 Location Data Pro

Location data is a Pro-tier feature only and is never collected without your explicit permission. If you are a Pro subscriber and grant location access, we collect GPS coordinates, geofence trigger events, and venue associations via Google Places API. You can revoke location permission at any time in your device's Settings.

2.5 Venue Data

When you use venue detection, we query Google Places API using your GPS coordinates to identify nearby places. We do not share your location with Google beyond what is necessary for this query.

2.6 Device and Technical Data

We collect push notification tokens (Expo), device type and OS version, app version, and anonymized crash logs.

2.7 Subscription and Purchase Data

Subscription management is handled by RevenueCat. We receive subscription status, purchase/renewal dates, and entitlement identifiers. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to data brokers.


4. Third-Party Services

Clerk (Authentication) — handles account creation, login, and session management. Privacy Policy

Convex (Backend) — stores your data with encryption in transit and at rest. Privacy Policy

Google Places API — identifies nearby venues from GPS coordinates. Privacy Policy

RevenueCat (Subscriptions) — manages purchase validation and entitlements. Privacy Policy

Apple App Store / Google Play — processes in-app purchases. We receive only entitlement confirmation.

Expo (Push Notifications) — delivers push notifications. Privacy Policy


5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Convex's cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS), encryption at rest, access controls (only authenticated users access their own data), and industry-standard session management via Clerk.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Report security vulnerabilities to support@rolodexapp.co.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Access and Export: View all data in the App. Email support@rolodexapp.co for a full export (response within 30 days).

Correction: Update your data directly in the App.

Deletion: Delete contacts, interactions, or your entire account via Settings or by emailing us. Account deletion is irreversible.

Location: Revoke location access at any time via device Settings.

Notifications: Disable push notifications via device Settings or the App.


8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

California residents have the right to know what data we collect, request deletion, and opt out of data sale. We do not sell personal information. Contact support@rolodexapp.co to exercise your rights (response within 45 days).


9. European Users (GDPR)

EEA/UK users have rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Legal bases: contract performance, consent (location), legitimate interests (security), legal obligation. Contact support@rolodexapp.co (response within 30 days).


10. Children's Privacy

Rolodex is not designed for children under 13 (or 16 where required). We do not knowingly collect data from children. Contact us if you believe we have.


11. No Advertising or Data Selling

Rolodex does not display advertisements. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers.

We will notify you of material changes via the "Last updated" date, in-app notice, or email. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
